Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, ECGs and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
All blood tests are undertaken by our phlebotomists. We provide a phlebotomist service each morning. All blood tests must be done before 12:00 as they are sent to the lab at lunch time.
